The charming old stone walls and lovely interiors created a captivating atmosphere. Enjoying fresh homemade bread during breakfast was a highlight, alongside the beautiful courtyard with a good ambiance, even in chilly November. While the roof garden was lovely for evening drinks, it could have been better utilized for swimming. A bit more assistance with heavy luggage would enhance the experience. A nice stay in a wonderfully located hotel.

I wasn't ready for this!
What a gem! Nestled in the Gothic quarter, this fine hotel boasts a captivating ambiance with warm, efficient staff. I felt pampered in my beautifully decorated room. The rooftop terrace, with its rose cocktails and sunny views, was a highlight. Every detail, from the design to the service !

The location of the hotel is terriic very central and very easy to get to every where
I didn't like the fact that for $750 per night there was a huge crack in my bathtub. The attitude of the young hipster front desk staff was appalling. They all look great but have no idea of the concept of service and how to deliver this in the real world. Such a shame not at all an authentic experience.

The highs and the lows
The center of the Gothic quarter was a delight to explore. The staff was genuinely friendly, cute us with a warm charm.
We faced some issues with over-priced dining options and less-than-ideal shower temperatures that detracted from an otherwise great experience.

Beautiful architecture. Tasteful & atmospheric decor in a beautiful environment and Gothic decor. Delicious breakfast. Excellent service. Perfect location.Friendly and dedicated staff.
Beautiful and large room but rather disturbing in the night (early morning) noise due to not soundproofed windows and curtains should almost always be closed due to lack of privacy on the lower floors.

I loved the Character of the Gothic area which was full of winding streets, leading to beautiful squares and tiny shops. The whole city has a vibrance and warmth about it and seeing the Picasso, Gaudi and Miro was a great treat and of course the superb La Bouqueria market. After England the weather seemed like heaven!
sometimes I felt communication problems led to misunderstanding but the staff were excellent and very helpful. the towelling robes were a bit worn and as it was expensive, I felt there were no little luxuries to make me feel indulged. Also there was no real lounge to sit in or really a bar as such - except attached to the restaurant which seemed empty most of the time. But obviously got busy in the evening. The views from the bedroom were nil as the curtains had to be closed the whole time as the balconies opposite were just feet away.

The hotel is fine, blending modern amenities with beautiful historical features. My junior suite was cozy, with high ceilings and elegant decor. The staff were helpful, catering to my professional needs seamlessly.
More assistance with heavy luggage would be appreciated.

Stunning property in fabulous location. Loved the interiors with quirky art installations (the Boa Sofa was quite the hit with the boys). The staff were truly world-class, ultra-helpful and kind staff. Little touches like the chocolates on the bed each night and the hammocks on the roof garden where my husband and I got to sample the local fortified wine each night go a long way to building good memories..
Travellers should be aware that this is an inner and ancient city location so the streets are very narrow (taxis have trouble but the walk to the square isn't long) and the neighbours very close. So no big views. Light sleepers should also note that small cobbled streets equal a bit of noise with late night revellers and early morning deliveries (although the windows do damp a lot of it).
